I attended another awesome 27 dinner last night. Mike++ on the organisation. I was given the opportunity to present. My presentation was entitled "Privacy on the Web 2.0". Sorry the slides are so spartan, I felt silly next to Heather's Lessig-like Keynote jobbie. Also, anyone interested in the browser history hack, the original demo is at ha.ckers.org, the guy who put it all together has his demo here, and my example used in the talk is here. As for the blog entry with the links to the privacy extensions it is here, although it needs a bit of work.
I really like the crowd attending these things. Some interesting links to check out following discussions with various people:
- Craig Rodney is helping companies blog, great for the corporates who don't get it.
- Identity Blog was pointed out to me by Andre
- Check out The Muso. I first saw it after they posted the new Buckfever Underground track (which rocks). They have some kief content.
- Shaun Dewberry and myself want to get a security geek coffee going, more on this later, but SA hackers keep your eye on this. Shaun previously ran 2600 meets.
- Matt Buckland and Vince Maher were there pimping Amatomu. I've started checking it in the loo on my cell phone even.
