Last night I gave a presentation as part of Open Source Week (or our contribution to Software Freedom Day) entitled, "OSS Business Models". It was written in a rush but went down quite well. Unfortunately it was rather poorly attended. The slides are available.
After than I ran to the debating office to speak in the 'backwards debate'. This is a comedy event where a debate happens, but in reverse. First the adjudication is given, then the speakers have to obey everything that was said about them. If, for example, the adjudicator said you made a good argument about hairy dwarves, then you need to incorporate hairy dwarves into your speech. It was good fun but also poorly attended.
This morning I woke up (with a slight hangover) and got ready a presentation entitled, "creative commons, and introduction". I just presented that to the department, it too was poorly attended. I enjoyed this presentation the most and I think it went off quit well. These slides are also available. It included two movies, building on the past and reticulum rex.
Then tomorrow night I will be presenting a modified form of the Creative Commons presentation as part of OSS week.
Phew.
