Well there is this
site, see, and it's called punknews.
It has a section called
"MP3 of the Week". I usually visit there about once every two months and find some excellent music. I just did my latest run and found a gold mine. These songs are excellent for a number of reasons. The first is their complete non-conformance, one of the most startling examples is in "Murder by Death - Killbot 2000" where the chorus is made up of a guitar, violin and trumpet. The second is their political nature, there is practically an entire genre of anti-americanism, and these guys are angry. This creates and incredible energy in their music. Not a Linkin Park, "I really sad and angry for no particular reason" kind of energy but a very honest energy. This is the kind of real music that could change the world.
PS. They are all free. The RIAA can't touch you for having them.
